Dave McMillan

I am from Longview, TX, where I grew up, and raised my kids. I am a father of 5. 3 of my 5 have graduated High School and move on to the real world. I guess my love of computers came when I was 5 years old when my parents got me a Tandy 2000. From there and video game systems I would continue to grow to love technology.

My love of coding was created at 17 years old, when I was first introduced to the internet. I purchased myself an HTML book and self-taught myself HTML. I went off to college for Computer Science, but did not finish my degree at that time. I would continue to create logos and simple coding until 2015.

In 2015, I took a position at BH-USA as an E-Commerce Manager. During my 7 + years I would self-teach myself SEO, marketing, project managing, and product management. I would return to the classroom in 2022 at TSTC. I graduate with my degree in August of 2023. During my tenure at BH-USA, I was able to help grow the company every year and have it expand to multiple locations yielding the highest profits in company history.

During my time in college, I was able to compete in the SkillsUSA Web Design & Development competition at both the state and national levels. My partner and I placed 5th at the 2023 Nationals in Atlanta, Georgia.
