My Journey
Professional Evolution
A summary of my formal career experience outside of freelance projects.Marketing Manager
East Texas Carports
At East Texas Carports, I led the full development of a new company website—from initial wireframes and graphic design to front-end and back-end development. I built the site using WordPress, integrating plugins, REST APIs, and custom database solutions to ensure performance and scalability. The website is scheduled to launch in the third week of July 2025 and is expected to significantly boost conversions.
Beyond web development, I managed a wide range of creative and marketing initiatives. These included designing Meta ads, rebranding efforts, videography, and launching print and digital campaigns. I also created and managed the company’s social media presence across Facebook, X (formally Twitter),Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and TikTok to increase engagement and reach. Additionally, I wrote SEO-optimized blog articles for the new website and provided light IT support. I worked closely with leadership to implement productivity-enhancing tools in Basecamp, IdeaRoom, and Google Workspace.
Since my involvement, sales revenue has increased by 40% within a few months. The new website is set to launch in the third week of July 2025 and is projected to significantly boost conversions and overall business performance.
Creative Manager
BH-USA (Boat Hoist USA)In my most recent role, I was tasked with launching and managing a newly established offsite location—home to the company’s entire creative division. I built and led a cross-functional team that included a videographer, photographer, graphic designer, e-commerce manager, and warehouse staff.
While maintaining my previous responsibilities in web development, marketing, and IT, I took full ownership of the creative process across the company, overseeing everything from concept to execution for digital and print materials. I directed marketing campaigns, ran weekly creative meetings, and ensured all branding and promotional content met company standards. As the approval point for all marketing materials—including email, print, and digital assets—I acted as the key liaison between our creative office and the corporate headquarters.
In addition to managing operations for both the office and warehouse, I handled purchasing and led onboarding and training for new hires, including personally training the e-commerce manager I supervised.
A key project during this time involved implementing and mastering Loftware—a product labeling and serialization software. I was responsible for designing and managing the database that supported over 30 printing stations, developing custom programs for label generation, and providing technical support and training to staff using the system.
This role combined leadership, creative oversight, operations, and technical development, allowing me to drive innovation and ensure cross-team alignment while delivering measurable results across multiple departments.
Web Developer
BH-USA (Boat Hoist USA)In my role as a web designer and developer, I was responsible for ensuring the functionality, performance, and usability of multiple company websites. I worked closely with third-party developers on various web projects, serving as a technical lead and collaborator.
One of the most impactful projects I contributed to was the development of a Customer Service Dashboard, a reactive web application built using Vue, Laravel, and Angular. This internal tool integrated with the company’s WordPress and WooCommerce databases, enabling the customer service team to efficiently place orders, process returns, modify product pricing, search and manage customer accounts, send mass communications, and generate real-time order reports. We implemented advanced automation using REST APIs and webhooks, allowing order statuses to update dynamically and data to sync seamlessly across platforms. I also helped develop automated workflows between WooCommerce and QuickBooks, enabling real-time syncing of customer data and order information.
To improve warehouse efficiency, I introduced touchscreen and handheld picking technology that significantly streamlined the order fulfillment process. Additionally, I developed a live chat system for customer service and a company-wide text messaging system to improve internal communication.
Alongside back-end development, I also took full ownership of front-end web design and development across all company websites, managing layout, UX/UI, and mobile responsiveness. While taking on these advanced development tasks, I also maintained the responsibilities from my previous role, including product and content management, SEO, and digital marketing initiatives.
E-Commerce / SEO Manager
BH-USA (Boat Hoist USA)Over nearly a decade at BH-USA, I held multiple roles and led a wide range of projects across e-commerce, marketing, and IT. I began as E-Commerce Manager, where I managed over 70,000 products on the online store and spearheaded the company’s expansion into Amazon Vendor Central. This large-scale project involved learning the platform, uploading product data, and implementing a fully integrated pick, pack, and ship process.
To streamline operations, I worked with third-party developers to automate workflows between WooCommerce, UPS WorldShip, and Intuit QuickBooks. I also successfully launched the company’s presence on Overstock and Walmart marketplaces.
I was responsible for all product creation—including pricing, descriptions, photography, and marketing collateral—as well as search engine optimization (SEO) across product pages, the homepage, cart, checkout, and other key website areas. I also managed Google Ads campaigns and earned Google certifications in Search, Display, Video, and Analytics.
My role extended into IT and digital operations, where I oversaw all company technology, including platforms like Sage ACT!. I managed email systems, Shopper Approved ratings, and Google Merchant Center accounts. I frequently performed testing and debugging for website development and acted as the liaison between the company and the web development agency. I was responsible for identifying and documenting website issues, ensuring they were clearly mapped and communicated to the developers.
Additionally, I served as project manager for new website features—leading projects from initial planning and scoping through execution and final delivery. My responsibilities included organizing requirements, coordinating timelines, and ensuring deliverables aligned with business goals.
I also prepared and delivered monthly marketing reports to track website traffic, ad performance, and e-commerce KPIs, supporting data-driven decision-making at the executive level.
