BH-USA Custom Dashboard Design & Development
The BH-USA Custom Dashboard Project was a large-scale digital transformation designed to streamline customer service operations and unify data across multiple business systems. Collaborating with a third-party development firm, I led the design vision, functional architecture, and user experience, ensuring that every feature aligned with BH-USA’s real-world operational goals.
Project Overview
When BH-USA initiated this project, their internal teams were struggling with disjointed tools and manual workflows that slowed communication, order processing, and customer response times. My goal was to bridge the gap between design and development — translating these challenges into a fully integrated, scalable, and user-friendly platform.
Over a two-year development cycle, I worked alongside backend developers, system administrators, and executive leadership to map business requirements, define workflows, and continuously refine the interface as new needs emerged.
Functionality and Features
The dashboard became a powerful central hub for BH-USA’s customer service, logistics, and sales operations. Key features included:
-
Customer & Order Management – Quickly locate customer records, view order histories, and manage payments.
-
Returns Processing – Initiate and track return requests with automated updates.
-
Integrated Messaging – Send and receive customer communications directly within the dashboard.
-
Inventory Control & Pricing Management – Monitor live stock levels, adjust product pricing, and sync updates across all systems.
-
Order Fulfillment Boards – Real-time visual tracking of order status throughout the shipping process.
-
Internal Notes & Team Collaboration – Keep communication centralized and context-specific within each customer or order record.
Systems Integration
To unify all business data, the dashboard relied on custom-built APIs and webhooks that connected multiple platforms, including:
-
BH-USA.com (primary eCommerce website)
-
InFlow Inventory Software
-
QuickBooks Online
These integrations ensured seamless synchronization of customer data, inventory counts, and accounting records — effectively creating a single source of truth across all departments.
Technology Stack & Development
The system was built on Laravel and Vue, using Angular as the core backbone for front-end stability and performance. This stack provided flexibility, speed, and scalability as the application grew in complexity.
For collaboration and deployment, the development team utilized Bitbucket and Git for version control, maintaining a disciplined release cycle with regular feature updates and bug fixes. Through continuous iteration, the project adapted to new business goals while maintaining long-term code stability.
Impact
The finished dashboard provided BH-USA with a fully integrated operational ecosystem, transforming the way they managed customer relationships, tracked inventory, and fulfilled orders.
The results included:
-
Faster response times for customer service requests
-
Reduced data errors between departments
-
Greater visibility into order statuses and inventory flow
-
Streamlined pricing and returns management
The project not only enhanced day-to-day productivity but also positioned BH-USA for scalable growth and improved customer satisfaction.

Project Takeaways
This project was a deep dive into the intersection of design, data, and development collaboration.
It reinforced the importance of user-centered design in complex system environments and the value of agile iteration when requirements evolve over time.
I learned that successful digital infrastructure doesn’t just depend on elegant design or robust code — it thrives when both are built in harmony with real user needs. The BH-USA dashboard became a clear example of that principle: a product of teamwork, adaptability, and strategic design thinking.
