Elite Boat Lift Motors Website Development: A Brand-Building Digital Project

The creation of the Elite Boat Lift Motors website represented a key chapter in the broader brand development strategy at BH-USA. As a secondary brand under the BH-USA umbrella, Elite required a distinct digital identity that reflected its specialization in high-performance boat lift motors while remaining aligned with the parent company’s commitment to quality and innovation. I led the charge in building this digital property from the ground up—handling not only the design and development but also the branding, content creation, and functionality across the entire platform.

A From-Scratch Website: Design, Development & Hosting

This project was unique in that I was responsible for the entire lifecycle of the website—from ideation and wireframing to full implementation and launch. Using the Pro theme by Theme.co as the base, I customized every aspect to ensure it aligned perfectly with the branding vision for Elite Boat Lift Motors.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Custom Web Design using WordPress and Theme.co's Pro builder

  • Graphic Design of logos, icons, and high-resolution product images using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop

  • UI/UX Design focused on a clear, informative layout with accessibility for older users

  • Form Integration for dealer inquiries, product interest, and tech support

  • Image Optimization for performance and SEO

  • Domain Setup and Hosting Configuration

  • Responsive Design using CSS3 and HTML5

  • Mobile Navigation Optimization

By handling each of these layers, I ensured that the site was fast, easy to use, visually cohesive, and built to scale as the brand grew.

Branding and Visual Identity

Branding was a cornerstone of the project. Elite Boat Lift Motors needed a look and feel that communicated strength, precision, and industry authority. Using Adobe Illustrator and Figma, I designed custom logos and icon sets that reflected the brand’s personality.

Visual Identity Highlights:

  • Unique color palette and typography that differentiated Elite from BH-USA

  • Vector logos scalable across digital and print applications

  • Product photos edited and enhanced using Adobe Photoshop

  • Informational graphics and icons created using Adobe Illustrator

  • Consistent branding across forms, calls-to-action, and headers

The emphasis on design cohesion was crucial in building user trust and delivering a professional online experience.

Content Creation and SEO Strategy

All website copy, product descriptions, and support content were written from scratch to ensure originality, clarity, and search engine visibility. The goal was to communicate the benefits of Elite's boat lift motors while reinforcing the company’s commitment to American-made quality.

SEO & Content Tactics:

  • Keyword-optimized product pages

  • On-page SEO with meta descriptions, alt tags, and H1/H2 structures

  • Informative support pages answering common user questions

  • Blog framework set up for future content marketing

  • Internal linking structure for seamless navigation

These efforts have helped drive significant organic traffic since the launch in December 2021.

Development Workflow and Technical Stack

The project was developed in a local environment using MAMP, and later deployed live via GitHub for version control and staging. This allowed me to work quickly while maintaining full control over changes.

Technical Stack:

  • WordPress + Pro Theme

  • HTML5 / CSS3

  • JavaScript / jQuery for interactive components

  • PHP for WordPress templating

  • Git / GitHub for version control

  • Responsive Layouts with mobile-first design strategy

  • Webhooks for form data forwarding to CRM systems (planned for future updates)

As the site matured, plans were put in place for future API integrations, including inventory tracking and customer feedback systems.

Business Impact and Future Expansion

Since launching, the website has attracted thousands of unique visitors, serving as a centralized source of truth for product information, brand identity, and dealer inquiries. It functions as a vital component of the sales funnel while also laying the groundwork for future expansion.

Future Enhancements in Development:

  • Addition of e-commerce functionality using WooCommerce

  • Integration with Loftware NiceLabel for serialized product labeling

  • REST API support for live data updates on motor specifications

  • Further CRM and marketing automation via Google Workspace, Mailchimp, or custom solutions

This forward-looking strategy ensures that the Elite Boat Lift Motors website is not just a static digital brochure but an evolving business asset.
